Pros

Management was approachable and friendly. Appreciated the companies honest concern and approach to helping the environment and humanity. Decent benefits. Looks of opportunities for upwards mobility. Good salary for retail positions.

Cons

Nothing specific to the company. Working in retail is tough! Dealing with unpleasant customers, working weekends, nights, and holidays, etc.

Pros

The number one reason people work for IKEA is the great insurance. I didn't need the insurance but I had such awesome co-workers whom I considered my friends that I stayed (however this is not everyone's experience..). staff cafeteria staff lockers and break area Although my belief in the company has decreased, I do think IKEA sells great products and I will continue to purchase from the store. I had no problem promoting products.

Cons

Low pay, if you don't need the insurance then I would seek employment elsewhere. Pay raises are a joke and only occur once a year. Management cannot/will not give raises based on acquiring skills or product knowledge. Tends to hire "bodies" who defer their work to other employees.
