Pros

Hyatt's brand stands for something and in today's world, if you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything. Hyatt's global mission statement references providing authentic hospitality and becoming the preferred brand of hotels world wide. Knowing that to be the best, you must employee the best, so Hyatt challenges you to strive for excellence and leave every guest and employee extremely satisfied with their experience.

Cons

Hyatt provides its employees with so much at the property level, you can struggle with their life fitness program, which allows for every employee to take their well-deserved time off, AWAY from the hotel itself.

Pros

Easily accessible by the metro

Cons

Where do I start? All of the management is out for themselves. They don't care about your advancement, only theirs. They will tell you one thing and then if it goes wrong, they will say they never said it. Expect to work at least 70 hours a week if a manager. Wouldn't let me take time off after I had 2 deaths in my family, "Sorry to hear about that, back to work." There are much better hotels in the area. The GM doesn't care about line employees or non-management committee staff members. Rooms Executive needs to find some sun tan lotion and need to learn how to talk to people instead of talking down to them. Stay away!!

Pros

great hotel benefits, promotes from within, small company that is growing and expanding their brand, lots of good programs coming from corporate office

Cons

demanding from a work/personal time balance perspective, company is newly public and it shows in some of our business practices as loyalty is not rewarded anymore
