Pros

The perks of hotel room discounts, complimentary rooms, friends and family discounts, and the hook ups from other employees when you visit other hotels. There is a "family" spirit. One of the pillars is "fun" which means HR tries to do fun things like bring an In-N-Out truck to work or have turkey bowling competitions. Uniforms aren't too bad and some departments let you wear your own clothing so long as it is professional and neat.

Cons

My department is union and that means that those who have been there a long time and really aren't all that good at their jobs, are safe from being fired. There is also a lot of "seniority" at play.
