Pros

I like Case Management Work, I can either work from home or in the office. I like my co-wprkers. Three weeks vacation upon hire.

Cons

If you are looking for a good Health Insurance Plan, you will not receive at Humana. I have been with the company a little while. We use to have good Health Insurance beneifts. We had a traditional PPO. Now we are forced to select 3 options of High Deductible. If you are carrying your family as I am, the cost is HORRIBLE! I am Case Managing Employer Groups with the old traditional PPO and it pisses me off, we are no longer able to have that same plan. I use to give 150%, to see that things got done on time and put in efforts far beyond the normal. NO LONGER! If Humana thinks so little of employees that we have to now take the CRAP Plan, then, I am going home at 5pm and NOT starting untill the normal start time. Before it was a a Great commitment on my part to Humana. NOW it's just a J-O-B. The other thing is you go to two Summits a year, For me it's o big deal, I live near the summit site. But Humana spends Hugh amounts of money, flying, and paying for rental cars and rooms carting thousands of employees around vaious parts of the country. Nothing is gained from an employee persepctive, except falling behind on work. It usually is a bunch of people running around Drunk playing stuipd bonding games. Really, Humana should save the money.

Pros

name recognition of fortune 500 company, that's it

Cons

too many people in all levels of the company that have attained their position through politics and not through performance or results. There are many people in the company that are "the only one that can do what they do" because people horde information as if it were the ring of power. It is impossible to run effective projects there due to the sheer incompetence of Humana associates. For the most part, I have rarely seen anyone in the company follow prescribed PMI project methodology.

Pros

Work from home and 401k benefit match is over 100% but no match during the first year.

Cons

This company exemplifies toxic workplaces that exploit an oversupply of pharmacists, ultimately harming our profession. They pay flex pharmacists less than $50 an hour and monitor every minute of their activities, showing no trust or respect for them. Only 5-10% of employees survive the VSP pool, and even full-time hires are fired if they fail to meet metrics a few times. During my time as a full-time employee, I never received health insurance through Humana because I constantly feared losing my job. Policies change every month, and the new OneNote updates are easily missed if you're unaware of them. Their poor utilization of technology is frustrating, and management is too incompetent to make improvements that could save tens of thousands of dollars. Avoid applying for this job, as companies like this are what’s killing our profession and devaluing pharmacists.
