Pros

Good benefits and 401k. People used to trust their management as integrity was an important part of the culture.

Cons

A lot of politics. Too much politics for a company of that size (this is not the big Hitachi mother ship). Investments are considered a bad thing even if the ROI is guaranteed. Too much focus on keeping costs down instead of investing in the right areas. Pay raise for individual contributors comes every 3 to 4 years at best.

Pros

Genuinely nice people who are trying to make a difference, IoT potential with Hitachi.

Cons

Decisions are made in Japan without any understanding of market or global management cultures, executives play politics to keep their jobs, employees not rewarded, salaries are low compared to market. HR department is non-existent and unsupportive of advancement of current talent.

Cons

No more innovation. Culture stinks. The best people are leaving in droves. Leadership hires are industry has-beens. Sadly still just a storage company.
