Pros

You aren't required to work non stop, good work/life balance. Nice people depending on where in the company you work. Decent holiday length.

Cons

Bad management/management that have never been sufficiently trained, doesn't invest in employees, pay is terrible and won't change for a long time. A lot of de-motivated employees, seen as just a number not a person. Will dodge yearly appraisals like the plague.

Pros

You get the chance to partner with a great group of individuals.

Cons

No career pathways for growth Low pay With each year, layoffs increase making teams smaller increasing workload without any incentive of a promotion, pay raise, or even a merit. Culture has been going downhill year by year as well.

Pros

Working at Hearst looks good on a resume and that’s pretty much it

Cons

There’s absolutely no organization or process. This is the most toxic culture I’ve ever seen. I had to sit on multiple meetings where upper management screamed and belittled people in front of groups - sometimes as large as 20-30 people. Also was encouraged by senior management to treat another employee badly because they weren’t meeting deadlines.
