Pros

Good money, everything paid for, extensive training, a lot of routes to move up when oil prices aren't crashing. Great opportunities for those who want to become Vice Presidents and shoot people. Good bennies.

Cons

Awful hours. Worst oilfield wages in the Bakken. Crashing oil prices. Poor environmental practices. "The McDonalds of oilfield companies" was a common expression.
