Pros

1. Work from Home (No big deal now most of the companies offer it) 2. An extra star is for Argentina based office coworkers for the fact that they know that offices are meant to be to work.

Cons

This is going to be very large section so if you don't have patience to read please leave it here itself. 1. I have experienced various recruitment process in various different companies & I see nothing is to the mark but Globant, Pune sets a benchmark among all of them. HR recruiters pretend to show interests in the general employee's references by setting up process like google form with details of the referrals. In practice nobody from recruitment team cares of the resumes being sent to them by common(including TLs) employees. To get selected in the Globant interview process you need special eligibility. You have to be friend/relative/colleague of some of the most powerful person in the organisation(Managers/TDs are most common in this process). Also, being a wife of currently working employee also serves a good eligibility. If you have aforementioned eligibility don't worry about the skill-sets & position for which recruitment drive is being carried out. They will create position for you & however dumb you are you will get selected. Don't worry about package, they will take care of you very well. All they do is give less hike to capable one & allocate that portion for your relation with manager/TD. But benefit doesn't go solely in your pocket. Referring party(Managers/TDs) have great home loans to spare they are the most needy people in the organization they should get referral bonus on priority. They have whole bunch of teams to refer(which will surely get selected(100%probability)) from their previous organization. So at least minimum 5-10Lacs lottery is fixed for them. Ahh... too much work they do. Please please please guys, take some rest!! 2. When it comes to team performance like promotion or appraisal only project performance is not enough. You should be daily gossiping with TDs, Techpartners or at least your manager. Don't worry, there are some brilliant co-workers who mindfully take care of your work. If you are skillful person & not talking to managers on movies, outings, parties & xxyz etc. all you will be gifted with is hell lot of work of at least 4 people. In the end you will get normal appraisal & most likely no promotion at all. But game drastically change if you are a woman. The people at most higher position are very much concerned about woman empowerment. They are ready to give you promotion within a year of joining if you follow certain guidelines. What you have to do is just hangout with male Powerholders in any studio. They will give you some basic technical task (who any dumb guy in the studio can perform with ease). Once you are done with that task they will carry out studio meeting & showcase your bright talent through your heartbreaking performance. Now dance with them in some team parties, annual events & your promotion is secured. To create an illusion to the world some of your friends will also get promoted. I wish I could be a girl(Yes I am a male reviewer @HR) I would have reached at least TD level. Nowadays they are take aggressive steps towards women empowerment. They are hiring 40 women per 4 men candidates. Men should be talented & hardworking. For women no such restriction (through my personal experience others might have different experience). 3. Lets come to work environment. Lots of people I have seen here praising office's interior. It is good point. I want to ask them a question: are you guys artist & seeking a job in Globant? What is your priority to take pics in the company with nice interior around or the environment where you should be able to work peacefully? I saw them carrying out internal survey for understanding employee's working mood. I also see another part, if you are capable resource & outperforming your TL/manager/TDs by your skills/attitude & become a threat in the eyes of TechPartner or any other Powerholder they play a nice trick against you. They ask TDs to break your confidence by various tricks: they will allocate you task that is not relevant to your current skill set & will blame you for your failure which is naturally going to happen. But in the process they will harass you like Bank Recovery agents. They will compare you with your junior co-workers & almost abuse you in front of all the employees on the floor(no one on one meeting necessary to break your confidence). You may get hospitalized for hypertension posed by them. You become incapable to face the team mates for weeks. At last when you want complain the Big player remains hidden & TDs/Managers get under your attack. I salute the Big Player for awesome trick they play. Big Player has minutely analysed Historical torture rooms & reinvented them for the new era of Indian IT culture. In this era mentors are new spies around you. 4. HRs are close relatives of big players. If in case you are leaving the company & your TD is in favor of retaining you, HR go one step ahead of you & plot a case against you. They want to show their strength by releasing you early. You will tremble thinking about this sudden attack. For them "Revenge is the best policy"For those who want to leave the organization(specially heart patients) don't keep the second thought of retention, simply fly away. The entire system is corrupt. Don't get fascinated by interior, jimjam & snacks. If you are stuck with WFH facility give more weight to simply applying leaves in your new organization. It is better to lose your holidays than working in a system full of conspiracies. 5. I can clearly see management's motive of not driving this India based office for your Argentina based office. All the management is working on their own vested interests. All of them are disloyal to parent office & expect loyalty from their juniors. Such a shame!

Pros

Video game consoles, carrom board, pool table, table tennis table, free oily snacks, free tea/coffee, free biscuits(monaco, krackjack, jim jam, marie and bourbon), free corn flakes and chocos and finally "bread and butter". Yes you can get bread and butter only in the literal sense here in office. The compensation they offer is not going to help you earn your bread and butter in the figurative sense of the term.

Cons

This company is getting worse with each passing day. I have been with this company for quite some time now and have seen it deteriorate with each passing day - yes every single day. The quality of the work is getting bad. They will put you on some really silly staff augmentation projects where they will force you to work out of the client location. They will send you there and then forget about you. When you resign an ever smiling Director will show up and coax and cajole you as if you are the most important person in the world to him! They make great plans - seriously awesome mind boggling plans which are good to the ears but lack planning to execute. They will force people on the bench to work on projects that the folks don't want to work on. Finally, they will put you on a project which is using some ancient technology like Delphi. Be ready to spoil your career by joining this company. They want to hire in large numbers but don't fall for the big names that the recruitment team will throw your way like - Google, Disney, EA Sports, etc etc. There is nothing great that this company is doing with these clients. Its all smoke without fire. Their appraisal systems are a mystery. We are in the second month of the promised period for a salary revision and there is no update from anybody in the management. When you ask a manager, he points in some other manager's direction and he will in return point at some other manager and so on. Finally, you realize that you have been taken for a ride. In conclusion they have given you the finger in this process! Travel policies are pathetic - it is the only company in the world which does not give you a per diem. Can you believe that? The rationale behind this policy seems that they want to save every single dime to give it back to their shareholders. Yes, the shareholder is who they want to please at all costs. They don't care about their employees. One final observation about this great company in India - The HR team is the worst in the industry. Worse when you get in and even worse once you are in. Best to stay away...

Pros

100% health benefits, PTO is 15 days for developers/designers and 20 days for project managers and above. Base pay isn't bad at all for most roles.

Cons

401k is awful, 1% match but only until you work there a year, project managers must handle P&L and forecasting, internal system is called GLOW and it is terrible, "talent pool policy" -- if you come off a project and don't get assigned to a new one, you go into talent pool. After 60 days in talent pool you lose your salary. 15 days after that, you're terminated. Globant doesn't highlight this when interviewing candidates (to my understanding). Most of the work is staff augmentation, this means you likely won't be working on a team with other Globant employees with an architect, front end devs, back end devs, designers, BAs, etc. Instead, you might just be working as a contractor on a client account, in some cases in the clients office (obviously not as much now due to covid). Developers don't get bonuses, only project managers and above. Leadership in Globant is predominantly male. Bottom line is Globant will always put profits above people unfortunately.
