      Fun if you don't mind travelling all the time

      Pros

      In one year as a sensor operator I've gone from the Atlantic to the Pacific and a lot of cool places in between for field work. Working in aviation can be a lot of fun and excitement. You get paid over time if you work over 40 hrs in a week. This is where the money is made in this job.

      Cons

      You get sent out on field work with little warning, everything is weather dependent so when there is good weather coming you are expected to be ready at the drop of a hat. When there is no field work, office work can be extremely slow, there isn't much for operators to do around the office other than house keeping chores.

      Great startup with solid financial backing

      Pros

      Great culture and benefits adopted from Verisk Analytics. It's an awesome opportunity to be a part of a new and upcoming business that is already the leader in this new industry. Tons of opportunity for growth. I get the opportunity to be creative and come up with new processes every day. There is a great work/life balance here, which is one of the top things for me. The Lehi office has a full gym and offers fitness classes throughout the week. They put out snacks twice a day. There is a healthy balance of work and play.

      Cons

      It's a newer company, so there are still processes that need to be worked out. It's understandable though since all new companies go through growing pains.
