Pros

- Work from home - Paid the bills - Made global friends - Company mission

Cons

- Heavy workload - Pressure to travel to international conferences despite not being in the JD upon application - Conferences talked about by leadership as if they’re a perk and you should be grateful - No pay rise for years - Generally underpaid VS market average - Promised bonuses and commission that never pull through - Less than a pat on the back for going above and beyond - Unfair and disrespectful promotion “process” (lack thereof).. people promised promotions left right and centre that never pull through, or the promotion is randomly given to someone else without explanation - Speak up in meetings and you’ll get more recognition, VS being quieter in meetings but doing the bulk of the workload behind the scenes (with zero recognition). Feels like a performance competition - Management will argue with one another or tell off specialists during meetings, it can be explosive, makes the team feel anxious - HR and leadership reduced colleagues ability to score a 5 on performance reviews - Micromanagement, zero trust, work checking, major questioning if something is missed or you need help clarifying a process - Work life balance doesn’t exist if something is deemed “urgent” (which is almost everything) - Phased returns and working hours aren’t respected, even if you’ve been absent with a life threatening illness - People are randomly sacked or made redundant without warning (this didn’t happen to me, but people around me) - HR doesn’t do anything about any of the above. Literally nothing. The last HR rep I spoke to was trying to leave for similar reasons
