Thanks for your thoughts. Our senior managers work with employees at all levels to set and execute their own targets and teams have to take ownership of their work. We are sorry to hear this was not your experience. If you have any further details you'd like to share, please contact: feedback.ta@frontiersin.org.

Pros

I was lucky enough to have started at the peak of Frontiers' business as part of the Production team in 2020. I know now that Production was quite a peaceful although often busy department and I simply had the best time working for four years. Everyone was caring and supportive, my manager recognized my work and I was awarded promotions and bonuses several times. I engaged in several working groups and side projects which added a lot of stimulation to my core work. The work is officially hybrid since the end of Covid, but we were only going to the Lausanne office whenever we wanted which was a huge plus and allow true flexibility.

Cons

Towards the end of my time at Frontiers, poor financial decisions led to drastic layoffs that changed work conditions.

Thank you for your sharing your experiences - we're glad to hear you enjoyed working at Frontiers. Taking part in working groups and additional projects is a great way to develop your career and it's an opportunity available to all employees. The redundancies were exceptionally difficult for everyone, but was unfortunately the responsible course of action for long-term sustainability. We stabilized and are very happy to be growing once again.
