Pros

A decent work environment with a few good people, although fewer all the time. A few front-line managers that actually care but are limited by the whims of upper management.

Cons

The main strategy of the company appears to be, "let's hire Yet Another Chief-Something-Or-Other Officer and see what they think." Lately it's been "let's move our expensive American development to Ireland and India and save a few bucks." Product quality is way down the list of priorities. I wouldn't be surprised to see the private equity owner break up and sell the company for parts.

Pros

Like everyone has said, the people are great. Everyone really seems to be wanting to make it work. Too bad once you get out of the trenches that stops.

Cons

Total disconnect in the flow of the company. Goals keep changing. Mid-Lower management is always just doing what they can to keep the upper level happy. No support for the actual people doing the work. It is a constant "You are just are not working hard enough" mentally. Seen plenty of smart people come through and burn out very quickly. New people coming in getting large starting pay while existing employees have gone without raises.

Shameful company with no values in my opinion

Pros

My fellow colleagues were Ab Fab!

Cons

I was a long standing employee with several internal promotions, good performance reviews, a clean HR record and a good reputation. I added my work email to my personal phone, which I own and pay for, for convenience and was assisted in this by the IT team. I was not asked to sign any consents related to access to information on this BYOD. When I resigned, the company allegedly reviewed all the work and personal emails on my phone including SMS and my personal browsing history. Untrue negative comments were allegedly spread around about me about things that were 'found'. This allegedly included all my most private communications with my partner, information about our children and their health and family conversations about my sick parents. More than one person told me about this. In my opinion, this is sick and disgusting and made me feel violated. This is the Human Point strategy in action. Don't kid yourself that you are working on anything other than invasive employee monitoring. There is a lot of talk about values from management, but it is empty rhetoric. The internal culture is one of fear, uncertainty, aggression and constant change in my opinion. They have just laid off hundreds of people and are closing offices. You will not get rich here or do any work that makes society better in my opinion.
