Pros

Pretty good benefits package I.e., medical, dental,401k

Cons

The FedEx slogan of People, Service, Profit is nothing more than meaningless propaganda. It really is only about profit and service. Turn over is very high for a job that doesn't require any special skills. They will work you to the bone. Pay is sub-par, raises are empty promises. Training is minmal so you will pretty much be on your own and very frustrated. Don't count on your managers to give advise or instruction without a write up. Managers in my station were knuckleheads. I had 5 managers and two senior managers in the 2 years I worked there and the quality was very poor. We never had enough trucks to assign routes, never enough drivers to fill routes. Days off were constantly canceled. If you called in sick you were chastised even if you had a doctors excuse. I worked on average 12 to 13 hours a day 5 to six days a week! I was supposed to be working 4/10's. There is very little opportunity for advancement and pay increases, well I didn't see one and senior drivers said it had been a long time. The moral at my station sucked. Management is not at all concerned with employee welfare. They are only concerned with making "buckets" to ensure their bonuses, which hourly employees never see. I can't imagine how anyone can make a career as a courier with fedex. Fortunately I had other options.

Pros

Relax not hurry culture.

Cons

Embedded in the southern red neck culture, where promotion is based on who do you know not what do you know. Management is all bad not a single talent. All are baby boomers ready to retire and collect pension.

Mediocre at best.

Pros

The hours aren't bad if you like working in the afternoon to late in the evening. The pay isn't bad either if you're a courier. They also have tuition reimbursement which is a plus.

Cons

Where do I start? There's pretty much no work-life balance if you're a fulltime courier. The vast majority of upper management is a complete joke & incompetent. There are a few really good managers but far more incompetent ones. They're pretty stingy with the raises also. Lot's of politics & little cliques as if you were still in high school.
