Pros

FDM NYC has good clients specially in the financial industry. If you love technology and finance this is probably the place that will get you there Good insurance benefits

Cons

Pay- They should really be paying more competitive salaries, specially for the amount of money they make out of you. Management- There a few good people here but for the most part account managers try to manipulate people into taking jobs they do not want (careful if you want to be a developer, don't let them push you into an app support role you will not be happy) and have no flexibility withing the first 2 years of your contract, they do not work with you to help they try to manipulate.

Pros

Solid enough environment for starting a career in IT; especially if you're looking to enter the industry. Client work can be interesting.

Cons

Lot of red flags during applications. Require a "commitment" of two years minimum working for them, otherwise they levy the hefty £20k arrears fee they value their training at (it isn't worth nearly that much)

Thank you for your feedback. Our training is designed quite closely to be fit for purpose with the current demands of the industry. We tailor this in collaboration with our clients and their requirements (we would be out of business if the training wasn't suitable). It’s also important to remember that you are not only receiving high quality training in both professional and technical skills, you also benefit from job placement assistance and access to a network of industry leaders – all things that are invaluable at the start of your career. Pros

FDM have an excellent range of clients which will usually secure a good salary and full-time employment with the client after 2 years of employment with FDM.

Cons

The training, while adequate, can be achieved online for around £500 and far less than the £20000 cost and two-year commitment that FDM ask for. FDM will pay you a sub-market-value salary throughout the two years that you are employed by them, else you will have to pay the £20000 training fee. Working at FDM has few (though growing) benefits, including limited holiday time, no further training or input into personal development. If you can reasonably get a graduate IT job in any other company, including FDM's clients, there is no good reason to apply to FDM (though it may be an acceptable last resort).
