Pros

Only if you are an Italian with strong family connection! Belong to the group and with no self worth! If you belong , very street wise/ toughened and no heart, you will survive working with ENI !

Cons

You will never be trusted if you are not Italian no matter how good / top class you are! Racism will be done to your face! You will not get respect as a human being working there ! You might end up with depression or high blood pressure or mental problem ! Don't ever take a job with EIRL, it is a fraudulent set up to deceive and lure good engineers and then destroy their careers and life. All EIRL engineers are offered fixed term contract but presented as permanent job. It is not an international company.

Pros

Fantastic medical benefits and 401K matching

Cons

As mentioned before, all upper level management rotates in every 2 years, so plan to reteach your job to a new boss every 2 years. No upward mobility if you aren't Italian. No training within the company. HR is transparent and doesn't give two bits about its people. They don't abide by any kind of good faith privacy policy, so any problem you have and mention to them, look forward to everyone knowing you went and what you complained about. The gossip and rumour mills are strong here. You don't see job postings because 85% of the workforce are CONTRACTORS. Red flag! They don't want to hire full time people. Their strategy is to keep overhead to a minimum by using contractors and demanding every minute of every hour of each of them and working them to the bone. They will sell you on "37.5 hour work weeks" - LIES. Look forward to being micromanaged to the minute of a 42 (yes, forty-TWO) hour work week. No work at home policy, but it's expected that you work during off-hours regardless. No work-life balance at all. No flexibility if you have a significant other, family or LIFE outside of the office. Kid's game? Forget that. You'll never see another one again, unless it's on a weekend. You need to go to the dentist? Plan to use a full sick day to go. You get a "half day" Friday (6 hours instead of 9) but you don't get "half days" of vacation or sick time off, so plan to lose some vacation and sick time. Don't let anyone here tell you they aren't "face time" people because that's all it is. Go here to get a pay check while you find your other real job elsewhere.
