Pros

Met good people Interesting training Full salary and commissions came back end September after 6months cut on employees’ earnings (also a Cons)!!!

Cons

Unfortunately more bad than good... Micromanagement for many teams and kpi badly use constructively. Covid was badly managed for a company claiming that care about their people. Many organisations did a better job at it. No follow up and communication with staff throughout the all pandemic (Head of people won’t need to copy and past his reply from previous comments as he was himself inexistant) - weekly business meetings is about 10mins without life nor motivation and 'huddles' happened in June and not on a periodic basis as its claims to do to third parties or peoples that recently left. THEY DID’NT BOTHERED Already on average salaries and did huge cuts on salary and commissions during covid not caring if employees could manage. Current commissions structure not appealing. Lack of Communication with staff and obviously between management itself. Managing director,(David) and lot of managers are deceitful and can’t be thrusted. They stay blind in there mess! Demeaning behaviour and comments from some managers seems acceptable for the Directors. Peoples are overlooked. You can often lose your motivation and love for this job due to management attitude and approach. Openly commented that staff want the red carpet and are negative (can only come from a non-biller manager awaiting his bonus from his staff work not really understanding the hard work put into it and not seeing his own mistakes) Not much support or help from management and company strategy changes as you change a shirt. Advancements and promotions are arbitrary. No real or valuable career path offered. It’s in the bad time like covid that you realise the true faces although you notice a lot of fakeness in normal time too! Finally, as soon as a bad and real review appears LND Team or manager who are on the good and friendly book of the director (let’s call it favouritism) would review how good the company is which is only good on paper for the majority of the people. Only good at the start then

Montreal Associates Response
5y
I usually trust our Head of People and Culture to provide responses to reviews but I felt this one might need a response from the CEO. First, I am really very sorry that you - or anyone working for MA - can reach this level of dissatisfaction and disappointment toward the company and the management. But I would like to insist on the fact that we do place people first and we make a point that employees are listened to whether it is for suggestions, constructive criticism or complaints. This year has been extremely challenging and we have made some difficult decisions, some of them you would maybe not agree with, some of them we could definitely have communicated better. As a business, we have been used to office work and face to face discussions in a culture where Directors don't have an office and are always approachable. It has been a sudden transition for our recruiters but also for business services and management. We keep learning and hopefully improving every day. I am not sure this is the place to answer all your cons but on the topic of staff communication during the pandemic, we have done monthly and some months bi-monthly updates as well as 2 huddle sessions in small groups so that we could answer questions from all. Of course, to be personally accused of not being trustworthy is hard to read and I invite you to reach out to me so I can understand and learn from your experience.

Pros

Only the flexibility, Remote working if you are based in the uk

Cons

This is a toxic, male-dominated company led by a narcissistic CEO. Feedback from employees is not taken into account, and performance doesn’t seem to matter unless you align yourself with management. Women in particular appear to be undervalued and not given equal opportunities for advancement. I would not recommend this company, as the experience can be extremely demoralizing and may even make you want to leave the recruitment industry altogether
