I worked at Ebury for over 1 year with weekly 1 to 1 meetings and never received any negative of constructive feedback about my performance. 2 months before they fired me I asked for feedback and they told me to wait and I never received any comments about my performance to give me the opportunity to work on it and have a chance to build a career there, like they always said I could. I was fired without any explanation or possibility to work on my performance. I left the company without knowing how I could improve my work and without a reason to explain in future interviews. Before I was told I was being fired, I was asked for all the information about my tasks and then I was told that the business need’s changed and that from that moment I was not part of the company anymore. I asked for a better feedback so I could work on my skills for a new role in another company since I never received any feedback about lack of performance and they just repeated the same thing. No one wished me luck or success, they left me crying and just treated me like a number, not as a person who worked there for more than 1 year. I left the company without the right to know what I did wrong. Only one person from my team contacted me to check how I was doing, no one else I worked with contacted me to wish me luck or give me any support, but before that happened everyone pretended we were a “family”. I worked by myself for 1 year, took care of 4 projects and they said I was not senior enough. What junior works by themselves daily? Not even a mid level works like that. I did what everyone else from the team did, I had meetings with stakeholders, I negotiated with them on their needs. They also hired someone to receive 3 times my salary and do the same tasks I did and told me I didn’t have to worry about that, that he was coming because the team was growing and even asked me to teach him some things. 1 month later I was fired. Also they don’t care about salary equality.
