Depending on whether you are a "hunter" or "farmer", and depending on the specific sub industry (hospitals versus pharma/biotech) - your job can be smooth sailing or an uphill battle of epic proportions. If you are in this camp, political 'goodwill' is critical to keep your job (also manager dependent), and even more critical to get the ever elusive growth AE promotion.
