Pros

A lot of going on in DAS & Small Cells especially after acquisition of TE Connectivity & BNS. IF you fall in the management's favoritism, you will be one lucky engineer to learn & work on each and everything, otherwise nothing much, you end up being pure labor/puppet..

Cons

# of Work Hours, Politics, Wages, Favoritism, Career Growth altogether suck - Engineering Team is like a puppet of Project Management Team and have no value. No training programs but learn as you hit the road. Engineers work plenty of extra hours but never get appreciated. Past CommScope engineering guys felt they were used and thrown even being loyal to the company due to immediate management politics at the time of re-org when CommScope acquired TE Connectivity BNS Unit. Performance review can be easily manipulated by managers to control the visibility & to provide justifications to their higher management when needed. Additionally, dictatorship of engineering management would easily put someone not deserving on top of the folks who are so deserving. Micro-management with not much management skills in newly org-ed team based in Richardson, TX. In fact, less sound technical management would use so sound technical engineers skills to gain visibility and still give donuts to the qualified engineers working for them. Please beware, this company is extremely bad choice to work for if you are a team player, looking for financial as well as professional growth. Only way you can learn in this engineering team is by playing politics because manager/director will never support any career growth plans.

-Great coworkers - Chance to get out in the field - Decent tech

Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE If you are currently interviewing this is the post for you. This company has massive redflags and a weak future, just look at earnings reports, their is a reason their stock value has completely collapsed. They have wrecked themselves with debt. But thats not even the worst part... You will realize you made a horrible mistake and be applying elsewhere by week 2. There are far better places to work than the inside sales department for Ruckus. I promise regardless of how desperate you are for a job this is not it. You will not make any money here and will find the same issues as the last place you worked but worse. Here are a few key reasons not to work here: - Untalented Management. Your direct manager for this role will likely have no idea what this job actually entails nor will they be willing to help. They consistently gaslight and belittle account managers to their breaking point. The average account manager quits within 2 years. so far there has been only one 2 good managers but they do not speak up due to the director bullying them into submission. The micromanagement is atrocious. People are not allowed to sit around the office and will get yelled at for finding a quite place to be alone and focus. Managers sit next to account managers and nitpick everything an account manager does if you are unlucky enough to sit next to one. You will also have the "privilege" of having NUMEROUS check ins with your manager EVERY WEEK. You will have a weekly one on one where your manager has no idea whats going on but will pretend to and then try to berate you, on top of "soft skills" training which is pretty much a meeting where the manager who obtained an MBA will regurgitate "helpful" content which you already know assuming you finished highschool. This manager loves to hear Themself speak, and it is beyond obnoxious. Office Culture - There have been multiple times where the power, water, wifi or other essential services have been out and the director refused to let people go home. At one point there was a state of emergency regarding inclement weather and everyone still had to come in. We were unessential workers and had no reason to come as we already work remote 2 days a week. The director also makes rude comments at people all the time making them feel extremely uncomfortable. They are a control freak in a position where they are abusing their power. There is a beyond toxic atmosphere in here and it feels like a prison more so than a collaborative community. I dreaded every day I had to fake enjoy being there. The only people who get you through the days are your coworkers, they are incredible people! On a second note regarding management, my direct manager is probably the most unbearable person I have had the displeasure of being surrounded by. They are constantly on a power trip and for some bizarre region has a constant need for attention. They literally never stop talking and always try to barge into a conversation often by mocking what someone said. The manager constantly puts their team down and is directly responsible for multiple members of the team leaving. Its the worst kept secret in the company and all of their account managers as well as the reps in the field want them gone. This person is a legit cancer in the company and should never be involved in a business organization. Unattainable Quotas - Director of the inside sales department does not care that quotas are unfair for most reps. Your payout is entirely luck that is based on the region you are covering. By the time I left, Only two reps of 15+ were on track to reach their quota. They switched how quotas were paid out in Q2 and told us to deal with it. Most reps will only be making base salary which is not even close enough to survive on. The director loves to pretend that she cares but she has actively fought against upper management's decisions when they stepped in to help us. Most of us are struggling to get by but at least shes pretty comfy in her range rover. Lack of Organization - It felt like every month there would be some new announcement basically telling us that everything you have been doing is wrong and needs to be changed. They are constantly assigning more work to account managers and there has been no compensation increase in over 3 years. They always promise that its coming but it never does. Training and Career Advancement - The training program here is a joke. It's literally you watching about 30 hours of videos for two weeks. I am not even joking. If you ask a manager a question they will tell you to go back and watch a video. They do not understand any of the products. There are opportunities to go into the field but its only achievable by sucking up to the director. The amount of work and stress once in the field doesn't even make the position worthwhile as the pay is atrocious compared to equal positions at competitors like cisco. Heed my advice, for you have been warned. Apply at your own peril.

Pros

1)Really a good company to work with nice work culture , benefits. 2)Very good company policy 3)Some teams are really good. 4)Holidays/Leaves will be good. The leaves will be easily approved if you have a genuine reasons. 5)Some managers are really helpful

Cons

1)You have to know one particular language to work here for more years. Technical skill doesn't matter. You just need to speak the language else you need to learn. 2)Like other companies some teams will be very very good , but some teams you can't tolerate..Partiallity in every way. Same like college , there will be groups with same language. If you are not from their state you are gone. If you are from their state , you will get all good benefits , you will get promotion. 3)The company where the manager will get fear of few senior employees who is working under that manager. Manager doesn't have any control , if that particular senior employees are part of your team. 4)Before joining learn that language you will treated like a king. Most people will not worry about the company's profit or company's growth. Only you have to be from the same region. 5)You will feel like this is the great company to work wrto benefits & company policy , but you will get depression due to linguistic issues.
