      Manufacturing-based policies incompatible with non-manufacturing businesses... Metro area pay lags lightly... Very top-down, rigid managment... Little ability to effect change

      Might be a good company, just not in IT

      Pros

      Decent compensation and benefits package. Some middle managers are good to their staff. Most coworkers treat you like family.

      Cons

      Senior management does not listen to it's employees. The CIO micro-manages the entire IT organization and his direct reports are obviously afraid to oppose him. IT seems to have many special rules that other departments do not have. Money is wasted on the elite and the real workers are left without the proper tools to do their jobs.
