Pros

Great company. They value their employees, there is a lot of communication and exceptions made for employees. Employees get great discounts and they give them extra discounts a couple times a year. Great benefits and possible bonus each month along with end of year bonus if your status is high enough. It's a great environment, not commission based so it's friendly and genuine.

Cons

Management depending on where you are can be difficult to work for. Very performance driven, you have to be very conscious about numbers and sales. It is pretty slow especially after Christmas and summer, gets boring.

Pros

Great in-store atmosphere. Great discount. Weekly paid along with team share bonuses. Good hours. Everyone is surprisingly friendly and teamwork is pretty solid. Managers are nice at first then stiff afterwards, however, but once you get to know them they are really helpful and get the job done. They want to set you up for success. Some associates have become managers and some managers have become associates (usually after having children). It is fun helping out customers to find the perfect bag or a bunch of bags to take home or a special gift. Many competitions to motivate you. Good benefits.

Cons

Not much opportunity to move up if you do not work many hours. Some customers are very "high-brow," and are easy to anger because they love Coach so much and their bags. Drama on the sales floor with some employees who bring personal life to work (don't date co-workers even though it is very tempting; trust me it does not work out if things go bad). Closing is meticulous and very tedious. Inventory is even more tedious, but this is good for those who do not want to deal with customers.
