Pros

Can't think of any positives.

Cons

Still ACE mentality at heart of the organization following the acquisition of Chubb. Both management and senior management pre-occupied managing the message back up the line to their superiors and keeping their jobs. Incessant focus on the here and now with no strategic direction. Brand values of craftsmanship undermined by caustic work environment where people fear for their jobs as a result of the company's short-term sales focus. This is fuelled by constant re-shuffles and re-organisation of business units, little or no recognition of internal talent with mainly external hires; and colleagues constantly leaving to pursue 'new opportunities outside the organisation'. Overall, an unsettling environment to work in. The company could get so much more from its people if it treated them better and could provide true leadership and direction - not just from the very top down.

Pros

Used to be flexible work arrangements until ACE took that away.

Cons

Management, including legacy Chubb managers, are generally only concerned about their careers. Most managers got their jobs through dumb luck and aren't qualified for jobs outside the company.

Pros

I have great Co-workers, who are very supportive.

Cons

I spent my entire insurance career trying to get into Chubb because of the outstanding reputation. I now work for the company only through the merger of Ace with Chubb. Now they are only Chubb by name. It is the Ace culture and it will destroy the Chubb reputation. They do not care about the employees only numbers. There is no work/home life balance, and the company moves you into positions based on their needs without any consideration to your needs or availabity. The salary does not support the job and the metrix set by management is unrealistic.
