Pros

Nothing to brag about at all.

Cons

High expactation, low pay, lack of HR presence to whatch what is happining at the branch level. none of any of the HR planning or analysis implemented or exericesed. No effecicent training, nor an effective plan. Bunch of clowns, all what they have are orders for each day for sales people to reach in sales target. And who pays the price? the poor customers that do not understand the products being shoved in their throats.

Pros

I can't really think of any good reasons to work for CIBC right now.

Cons

Our year-end bonuses will likely be laughable, due to our losses in the sub-prime markets over the last year. My manager is horrible, but I can't really lodge a complaint, as she is friends with our district AVP. Morale is extremey low at the branch I'm working in right now - I transferred from a different branch last year, and to be fair, the working environment was much better, due to the better management style of the branch manager. I'd almost be willing to go back to that branch, even though it means cutting my salary by $10000.00/year.

Pros

Worked in different markets saw how great this company can run, but this market Stoney Creek, HBO, run horribly. MVP is a micro-Manager and surrounds themself in an echo chamber of CGM's that just bob their head and agree, Not the most brilliant tallent in that market when you hire people to just simply agree with you, However in CIBC there are some generally amazing markets to work for and amazing MVP and CGM's, however Stoney Creek specifically and the Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville Market is a gong show. I wouldn't work anywhere near these people, as you will not thrive. You will go from hero to zero within a week, depending on the flavor of the week they want to push, it always changes, they will say its consistent but it isnt,.

Cons

What I said above, HBO specifically Stoney Creek is run horrible for Financial Planners.
