Pros

There is lots of training to do the job. They give you ample time to learn the ropes, there is a good amount of one on one coaching. Decent salary and you get bonuses if you exceed your sales targets.

Cons

There are too many metrics to meet and keep track of, takes quite a while to get a decent shift. Some managers need to have more compassion. Guidelines for promotions are not followed equally for all applications.

Pros

Large organisation, stable, good benefits, various locations to work

Cons

Inept management,to much empire building, focus changes every month, micromanagement is incredible. too much reporting which hinders productivity,to save money, CIBC cut back on training, hence higher turn over and costly errors."Squeaky wheel gets the grease' should be CIBC's motto, as the whiners are the ones that get noticed, those that put their heads down and work hard get ingnored. You can obtain your sales quotas 90% of the time, not recognition, miss you quota one week, and you will be put on notice.
