Pros

Great way to get into banking if that is what you are looking for. It is the one bank that seems to hire people with little to no financial experience or background.

Cons

Instead of firing dead weight, they promote them to management. Try to keep their top performers at the retail level rather than helping them get to where they should be in financial management (I was personally held back from taking my CSC to become a Financial Advisor - which was my goal all along - because I was performing so well at the retail level). Harassment of customers by outbound calling. Terrible compensation when you overachieve your goals with little to no recognition.

Pros

an easy going work environment as long as you complete the work assigned. Offer flexible hours for students ( I was a student myself and worked there for 2 years and was able to work 37.5 hours a week when I didn't have classes, and when I had classes worked 8 -12 hours a week.)

Cons

Not much job guarantee for part time since they are out sourcing work to India to save money. Lots of repetitive work and you are sitting the entire shift.

Pros

-Team and Environment can be a Pro depending on chemistry with management -Pay is decent considering Entry Level -Gain strong exposure to CIBC products and services

Cons

-Team and Environment can be a Pro depending on chemistry with management -Machine Gun style of solicitation is quite aggressive with the expectation being to get as many sales on a phone call as humanely possible; can be exploitive -Insurance, Insurance, Insurance; core focus of this job is basically selling insurance on a 30 day fee reversal guarantee
