Pros

Decent basic salary, I had to write 20 words in this bit, was a struggle

Cons

Constant target increases, with the hope that you miss them to reduce your earnings and give them a reason to implement performance management Low staff moral Do not trust senior management Constant stress to meet sales targets and other stats Management are stat and spreadsheet obsessed to the point it drives you insane A terrible working environment

Pros

Opportunity to work on a more diverse portfolio of Services Supportive (although stretched to breaking) management team

Cons

Expenses held, and questioned for weeks Commission payments cut/held for no warning or reason Processes and systems - no work on bringing the BT iNet and BT Engage processes and systems together - even 1 year later. Chaos reigned. Aggression by SLT when above issues meant you couldn't deliver on time/in budget Excessive, unmanageable Govenance procedures Employee negativity allowed to go unchecked

Pros

The salary is relatively high but it comes at a terrible price to health and mental well-being.

Cons

Here is a quick summary of the lowlights * Senior management believe the people working for the company with 10+ years experience are "the problem" and need to be terminated - ideally at zero cost. * All HR policies are driven by the first point above. * Backstabbing from all around so be paranoid * Company believes young new recruits with MBAs are the answer. Zero business experience. * Project managers (despite being fully accredited with PRINCE2, MSP etc) have had to be evaluated again using BTs own cooked up "assessment centre" system. Basically if you fail twice you will be sacked. * The assessment centre consists of incredibly high pressured scenario. Work at lightening speed doing complex analysis (NPV, Discounted cashflows, ROI) with few breaks. People have been in tears and bordering on having nervous breakdowns. * GS is out of control - so no bonus this last year. It was so out of control that they didn't even work out the failure and communicate it until just beforehand. This meant no holidays for many people. * BT, despite positive press coverage, is a company with constant year on year revenue decline. This means there is a whole "cost transformation" agenda - cut cut cut cut. Enjoy your stay in a Travelodge! * The job standards written for people set the level at superman or superwoman. Totally perfect at everything. Hence - you will fall short....
