Pros

Good benefits for existing senior managers, ok work life balance but can often be feast or famine ie frequently too little challenging work and then suddenly there's too much.

Cons

No career progression, command & control culture, poor quality and service focus, low salary increases, hierarchical, cost reduction gone mad, poor opportunities for consultants and process driven. Professional programme roles such as consultants and PMs are not really valued and they are actively trying to reduce the number of roles in this area. On a recent all hands call for around 1000 PMs the cost reduction team spoke of 'cleansing the current PM population '.

Pros

No leadership lost cause, within the chaos i can skip and dance, fill the spreadsheet's like a KPI warrior while the customers get no service

Cons

absolutely no work life balance, managers scared witless that they will not get a bonus and chase you whilst waving their spreadsheet's wailing KPI's at the top of the voices
