      Pros

      The brand "BT" speaks for itself and is known worldwide. Some people love us and others hate us, but at least we will still be there when all the others have fallen by the way side.

      Cons

      The amount of people who don't take ownership of a problem when there is a customer affected, is shocking - always put yourself in their shoes.

      Happy Day's Turned To Misery

      Pros

      Back in the early 80's the working environment was one of Happy, Fun Loving, Hard Working, Loyal, Committed staff. It was something special to be working there, we were like a family & looked after one another......

      Cons

      .... But, gradually the Management & their attitude changed towards the company & the staff. Computers were in, there were constant reorganisations within the offices. Breaks changed, times changed, the social club where so many happy memories were made, closed down. It was not encouraged for us to be happy at work, it was frowned upon, almost like we were not working if we had a laugh. It became demoralising & stressful. Sick leave became a release from the downward spiral of a company we no longer recognised. I was released on health grounds in 2004. In 23years of working there I was only happy in the 80's & for 8mths I worked in London helping clear back log of manual work before computers were installed at BT Stratford.
