      Pros

      Used to be a good caring company but went down hill about 15 years ago. Reasonable salary and benefits once established in middle management and above but you will work for it.

      Cons

      I tried to be fair when writing this originally and giving 2 stars. Having read other reveiews I realise I was being generous. The current atmosphere is toxic and designed to keep employees in fear of their jobs while HR looks to cull the herd. There are long hours, duplicitous seniors, a high pressure environment with lack of thanks, enforced culture of looking after yourself and your position since performance management enforces survival of the fittest in your team

      Stifled by bureaucracy, suffocation by archaic processes which do not work.

      Pros

      It's big, you can move around a lot internally and feel like you're in a new job.

      Cons

      It's big, almost impossible to change anything and no matter where you move - it's still BT. Processes stifle innovation in many areas (may not be true universally). No room for techies, techies get put aside in favor of outsourcing and management roles.

      Caring company, yeah right, disability discrimination is still very much there, senior management when raised don't care and if anything support the first line side, unless you are the type of person who is prepared to tow the line, not as questions and believe every half baked propaganda that comes out of Gavin Pattersons mouth then look elsewhere
