Pros

It is fair to say that BT can be a fairly good place to work so long as you do not have a long term mental illness or express and opinion.

Cons

Bullying is endemic in BT. I witnessed bullying by managers in both BT Retail and BT Wholesale. Some of these managers seems quite proud of their behaviour. I have suffered long term with anxiety and depression. I made the mistake of letting my last manager know and from that point on I became a target. Despite the advise of both my doctor and BT's I was pressured in returning to work It reached the point where I was a suicide risk.With regard to mental health BT talks the talk but does not walk the walk.

Pros

Global networks and Global clients

Cons

They have some shockingly bad managers. Probably the worst company I ever worked for.

Pros

Full-Time homeworking a plus; Great vacation package based on European culture; Large portfolio of services allows for great exposure to technology;

Cons

Poor compensation; Compensation has been reduced by restructuring rewards/bonus plan over the past few years; no tuition reimbursement; management cares very little if at all for employees; benefits have deteriorated over past 10 years (higher cost, less coverage), "More with Less" philosophy has entire GS staff overloaded which has been leading to reduced quality of services provided, more delayed deliveries all while training our replacements in Hungary and other low-cost regions; Zero job security as layoffs are the way BT GS has met street expectations a few times over the past couple of years.
