Pros

The shift differential pay was generous; health and dental insurance had good benefits. The 401K program was adequate.

Cons

Managers at the clinic where I worked showed outright favortism to some employees. Some coworkers were lazy and rude, yet nothing was ever done about them. I had 3 coworkers who were bullying and harrassing me, yet, when I talked to the supervisor, nothing was ever done. I was fired due to a misunderstanding of an order I thought I heard; the provider denied giving the order. My immediate supervisors spoke to me about it at the time, but I never got the chance to talk to anyone in Human Resources prior to my termination. I was not given a chance to give my side of the story. I had never been fired from a job in my life, and I had worked at the clinic for 19 years, and had a good performance record.

Pros

Benefits and my particular physicians I work under.

Cons

I hired in with the Oncology dept. on Airport 3 years ago. I was so excited about my job as I was fresh out of school and I was going to work with one of the supposed best organizations in the southeast. Boy was I fooled. The management there is horrible. They don't listen to you if you have issues and if it is a major issue, they sweep it under the rug so as not to have to deal with it at all. Also if you aren't part of their little click, then you can hang up EVER getting a raise as I have been there 3 years without one. It's an act of congress to get time off, even to go to the doctor or dentist. I could go on and on but I don't have enough time in the day to tell all of it. Until Sacred Heart starts monitoring their mgmt better and starts listening to the employees that got them where they are today, they will continue to get reviews like this one from everyone.

Pros

I can honestly say as an employee of Providence Hospital, there is absolutely nothing positive that I can think of about my experience at this facility! It is a nightmare to work there! In other words, there is a lot of room for improvements in EVERY area at this place. Ascension Health needs to do an thorough investigation of management as a whole!

Cons

There is no employee advocate to help improve working conditions, so employee moral is horrible. There is no unity between employees. There is reverse discrimination. There is a very high turn-over of employees due to these conditions. Work here at your own risk!!
