Pros

- amazon name on the cv - well paid for new grads

Cons

Cons: - Too much office politics. - Team leads are clearly unprepared and inexperienced. - Lack of support and transparency. - Lack of clear expectations, fake sense of urgency all the time - Some people lie to get more exposure; I'm sure that being hungry for "visibility" doesn't justify being a terrible teammate/person. If you end up in Amazon Fresh, try to switch to another team! There’s a huge turnover rate among brand specialists, and the managers are really bad at their job—super biased, leaving you wondering what they actually do. It's a team that reflects all the negative comments about Amazon's culture that you see online.

Pros

Salaries. It looks good for banks to say you work for Amazon.

Cons

Unclear communication on how you can achieve certain goals. For instance, in Spain you will never start a job as an FC associate directly with Amazon, but “there’s a chance” you can be absorbed by them and have a permanent contract with Amazon directly and “enjoy” all the “perks”. The truth is you will never know what you have to do to conquer that. Meeting your operational goals isn’t just enough, but you will never know what’s left to do. It’s a very demanding job, physically, mentally and psychologically speaking. You’re just a number and you will never stop feeling like that.

Pros

The salary is very competitive.

Cons

Highly unstable work environment, I had 4 line managers in 6 months. Sooner or later you'll end up with a corporate climber for a manager who will stifle you and resent any kind of independent thought. The company treats people like numbers and regularly (as a matter of annual regularity) make significant numbers of employees redundant. If your manager starts talking about doing "focus" work, just know that the writing is on the wall, and no matter how you perform, you'll be told within 3 months to either meet an impossible set of goals OR accept a "mutually agreed" buy-out.
