Pros

-Ok money -permanent contract - flexibility but it depends on which department you work for

Cons

-lack of career advancement Amazon rather hires from the outside than promote in-house even though you are overqualified due to its level systems where you get stuck. - no annual bonuses, low pay raise (around 5% per year) not based on inflation - chaos

Pros

You can move internally in an easy way if you have a technical position

Cons

It all depends on your manager, you can have an incredible experience or an awful one. And reorgs happens at least once per year. They have the power to fire you if they want

Pros

The working environment is very exciting and willing to support its researchers. Amazon has opened several AI-related job positions in Barcelona, where the quality of life is so high in almost every aspect, now also with highly-valued job positions.

Cons

It is a pity that Amazon did not offer these type of job earlier. Previous generations of AI scientists had to emigrate to access a competitive jobs, that was a big loss for Catalonia
