Pros

Obtaining leadership experience. Operations offers you a chance to lead a large group of people right out of MBA. Good oportunities to get into after finishing the program.

Cons

Lots of pressure both from hourly employees and senior management. Looong hours, especially in peak season. Absence of peers you can learn from (in operations). Minimal focus on development.
