Pros

Very supportive managers. Fun environment. Good recruitment policies leading to people who fit the culture and keep things positive all the time. Very good policies for development of staff as well as being flexible.

Cons

Can't think of any. I worked there part time for 1.5 years and it was the most relaxed and fun job I have done. I was part of the F&B team. We were given a lot of autonomy for such a job, our dress code was fun as well. The managers were great at being flexible with my roster - they understood that most of us were Uni students and that was a big priority. They did not ever spitefully cut back shifts just because our availability was less due to uni schedule. This had happened to me in another workplace and it can be very stressful. Infact, I was sad to leave that place even though I was stepping into my real career.

Pros

Friendly colleagues; approachable, yet unprofessional managers.

Cons

Hotel Management tends to think of themselves only, and doesn't invest on staff development. My experience with lower management was that of unprofessional, rude, sexist, confrontational, selfish and petty behaviour. They go to whatever lengths necessary to cut on costs, which includes having interns working for free and cutting down on hours that part-timers and 0-hour contract workers desperately need. Minimum wage and very little room for career progression.
