Pros
Great exposure to a vast array of different technologies, testing methods and test cell related hardware. Knowledge gained at AVL can be a nice point on a resume when applying/interviewing with other employers that use AVL hardware or software.
Cons
Management can be very disconnected at times. HR department is less than professional and has a very college sorority mentality. Structure and processes are always changing. Limited chances for advancement. Once you are in a roll and are proficient in that roll, people tend to be pigeon holed and receive very few incentives for staying. Field service personnel can expect to be exploited to the fullest extent. Travel can reach or even exceed 90%
