Great for someone starting a technical career in automotive (lots of variation in projects)

Pros
Variety of projects, learning about many different automotive topics, work with many different OEMs, good support from team leaders and management, good HR, good pension scheme
Cons
Since projects change often, some of them will unavoidably be less interesting or require a lot of travelling (within UK) to customer sites. Can be difficult to become a true expert, I am more a jack of all trades with an emphasis in a certain area (this can be a good or a bad thing depending on your preference). Beyond senior engineer position, there are no longer technically focused roles for advancing but you'd rather become a team leader or technical specialist (both of which are largely focused on coordinating technical work of others).
