Pros

Good pay, can be flexible.

Cons

From experience it all varies on Management whether you like the job. Will always find its very clicky, supervisors get alot of slack and breaks, where us mere low level workers have strict time managements in place for sll breaks.

Pros

Now, just the pay for managers. All the other good points have evaporated.

Cons

Cut backs on staff, consumables, uniform budget, essentials. There's no money for anything, other than profit protection for the new owners. So few colleagues now that a single sick call or holiday means a full department has no cover. The expectation of what can be achieved with so few people is bordering on ridiculous. This means that the service customers are getting has been very badly impacted. There's no feeling of achievement, because nothing can be fully completed. I think all colleagues and managers have spoke of leaving Asda recently. The pay is the only thing keeping many managers from moving on, but colleague pay is now one of the worst in supermarkets. This means many key colleague roles are being left as there is no incentive to stay, no specialist pay for the likes of drivers.
