I initially was able to contact Target through an Internship Fair in my school. After talking to them, I had an opportunity to connect with them more by hosting an event from my organization and was able to talk to high executives. This led to a phone interview, which skipped 2 or 3 previous interviews.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Target (Norman, OK) in Sep 2013
Interview
Everyone seemed friendly and wanted to help out. They came to my college to recruit specifically for this position. What made it even more difficult is how nice they were, and then emailed to say that I didn't get the position. Make sure you focus on behavioral leadership questions though. They are good about leading you on to make it seem like you did great in the interview.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target
Interview
I was contacted for an initial phone interview that was asked very basic questions. I then was contacted later that week for a second, follow up hour long interview. During this interview I was asked some basic questions as well as asked to answer behaviorals in STAR format. I then had my final (in store interview) with a similar format, and after that was not asked back for what I understood would be an additional similar (and I think final) interview.
