Starbucks Barista, Shift Supervisor interview questions

I was referred by an employee and was quickly called for an in person interview. The store manager seemed quite busy and left me waiting awkwardly for 15 minutes while he spoke to members of his team. The interview itself was great. Good conversation and questions. I was told that I would hear back by the end of the week and that he was leaning toward hiring me. I followed up a week later and was told he was still interviewing but was happy I was still interested. I should hear back within a week. Followed up two weeks later and was told the same thing. After over a month of waiting, I followed up again and was told that he was in the process of hiring someone else. Also said he would refer me to other stores. It's been six weeks and I've heard from nobody.

After submitting my application online, I received an email encouraging me to go introduce myself to the manager of each location where I wanted to work, which I did. Only one of the location managers called me.
