I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Starbucks
Interview
Interview is fairly easy. Mine was maybe 30 minutes. The interviewers are usually store managers, and they're usually evaluating you for their own store unless you need a second interview for some reason. They use the STAR method (situation, task, action and result). Dress professionally, be respectful and you'll do fine!

Question 1
Describe a time you dealt with a difficult customer?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Starbucks (Huntsville, AL) in Jan 2016
Interview
I put in an application online, for both barista and shift supervisor. I got a call the next day to schedule an interview, I went 10 minutes EARLY. I waited for a while, and the manager came out, very relaxed, very nice. He asked a few questions. Mostly the questions related to how you deal in group settings, how well you work with people, how well you take criticism and how well you treat clients. Just try to related all the questions to whatever experience you have. A week later I got called in for another interview, he asked me if I would mind working my way up from Barista, I said "absolutely" and he offered me the position! He told me he was impressed with the way I carried myself and my communication skills. I tried to be very conversational, make eye contact, be very relaxed and genuine.
