I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rippling (Nashville, TN) in Mar 2026
Interview
Recruiter call with screening questions i.e. What do you know about Rippling, Tell Me About Your Background. At the end of screening, an interview scheduled with Hiring Manager. HM interview consisted of a handful of behavioral, questions. The interview was with a newly hired HM; scope of the position/requirements were not discussed until after I specifically inquired (after the behavioral questions) which led to the interview feeling a bit disjointed.
I don't think they have any real roles and seem super comfortable with just wasting everyone's time including their engineers' who seem exhausted for their process.
I applied through a referral and actually had quite a bit of overlap. I got a totally disinterested panel interviewer who didn't even seem interested in interviewing. I had to pry the question out of him and he pasted the question incorrectly and started a discussion about rounding without really knowing why we needed to talk about it. I did get all the test cases correct however.
Think I dodged a bullet here.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Rippling
Interview
Standard process with a recruiter screen, tech round, system design etc. The person taking the tech screen couldn't listen for a second. I could very clear tell that they were switching between 'chatting' internally and barely listening to whats happening in the interview, resulting in me having to repeat myself a couple of times throughout the interview. I should have honestly ended it half way through. one of the worst displays of professionalism.

Question 1
the usual questions for the recruiter screen and you can easily look online for what they give the screen rounds.
