I was approached by a recruiter. The interviews were set up quickly. I had one interview with the line manager and one with the global lead. Everyone was super friendly and genuinely interested in my experience, but also in me as a person.
It seemed to me that the hiring manager came to the interview without reading my resume beforehand and the role he/she described was significantly different from the job posting.
Later, I found out that the role was filled by an internal colleague, which made me believe that the whole hiring/interview process was just a matter of formality.
I think every candidate's time and effort should be respected.
