I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Ámsterdam) in Sep 2022
Interview
The initial step was a short discussion with a tech recruiter.
In the 2nd step, I had an interview with tech lead and PO for an hour.
As the 3rd step, I received the code challenge which was quite time consuming given its acceptance criteria.
The 4th step was technical interview which was partly based on the submitted code and partly more abstract and about system design. This interview took 1h 45 minutes and it was very exhausting.
But after this final interview, for TWO weeks, I didn't here a word from the PO and the recruiter. I sent them an email and they said we'll get back to you shortly and another week went by without any feedback. Finally 17 days later, the recruiter notified me that they decided to go with another candidate.
I found the no-go flow very unprofessional. They ghosted me after such time consuming interviews instead of giving some honest feedback.

Question 1
Interviewers in the second round was good. Basically carried ikea values. It was a healthy discussion
Interviewer in technical discussion was very rude. He even did not bother to review/take a look at the implementation. It was not like a discussion but more like shooting questions before we complete answer for one. More like stress Interview.
I am afraid to work at Ikea if the technical interviewer reflects the way of working.
