I applied online. I interviewed at Halliburton (Colorado Springs, CO) in Mar 2018
Interview
Simply register on company website and they will email you the closest location for their next job fair. At the job fair, you will interview with a recruiter and, if qualified, an informal offer will be made. Everything from then on, until you start training will be done through email.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Halliburton (Williston, ND) in Jan 2018
Interview
The interview process was pretty basic. I was flown out to Williston for a 2 day interview. First day we were invited to a conference room and went over the different Production Service Lines (PSLs). It was somewhat formal (all applicants dressed formal). They answered any questions we had about the company, benefits, PSLs, etc. Pretty easy. Just sit through and pay close attention and ASK QUESTIONS.
The 2nd day we went out to a frac. Got to tour the entire frac site and ask all the questions we wanted. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING AND ASK QUESTIONS. Later in the day, we went back to the yard and got and in depth tour of the operations at the yard. Then, we went back to the office for exit interviews. THEY WILL ASK TECHNICAL Q's about what you had seen during the frac tour and yard tour. So, pay attention and ask questions.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Halliburton (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2018
Interview
So it consisted of a 2 day interview phase, the first day being presentation and tour of the San Antonio Yard, and then the 2nd day the actual interview. The first day everyone was friendly and took us out to dinner, they provided travel and lodging which I really appreciated. My interview was very negative, because instead of the original 4 panel interviewers, I only had 2, and they were obviously were very hung over from the night before. They asked me about my background, and then asked if they had any questions for me. It was a complete waste of my time, because they obviously did not come in prepared to ask any real questions. I then got an email a week later saying I was rejected.
