The first part of the interview process consisted on just a zoom screening with one of their recruiters. Normally this is a pretty easy and straight forward process, however with Fiver it was not. The recruiter was located in a different time zone than me which usually causes no issues, however this time we had to reschedule multiple times because the recruiter wasn't considering the time difference and when I would email her she acted like it was my fault because I was in a different time zone.
Once we finally got to the interview, it was very apparent that she cared very little for what I had to say or how I was even answering the questions. I feel like I could have mentioned another company or even another position and she wouldn't have been the wiser. It was also very distracting as people kept walking by in the background, the least she could have done was find a nice quit space.
Somehow I managed to make to the second part of the process which was an online test that takes about an hour or so and you cannot pause it or anything. The issue I had with this test is that there were zero project management or production questions on the test itself. It was like taking the SAT's all over again. It was very very bad and Fiver should be ashamed of themselves for even sending that out people. Oh and if you need accommodations to take the test, you're 100% out of luck they don't care.
Needless to say, I didn't get the third interview and I'm totally okay with that. I feel like if I would have they might have asked me to put together a working rocket ship from scratch using only items found in my kitchen.
