Confusing - had a call with HR in beginning who was very friendly and professional. Then had to do a IQ test - felt very pretentious consideing the role I was interviewing for.
Next stage was with someone who wouldnt be in the team I was applying for.
Last stage was the task - which they asked me to create a brand new concept, a multi million pound budget, extensive marketing plan and full logistics for global implementation of a brand new event. For a job they were offering 34k for...
During the presentation I was quizzed extensively on my new event concept and marketing questions. When the role I was applying for was a mid level event manager who would only be implementing decisions. The task did not seem tailored or suitable for the role they were hiring for.
I was unsuccessful as my event concept was too broad. "even though you demonstrated great attention to detail and showed a good understanding of the logistics - the concept should have focused on one element."
The whole process lasted about 6 weeks and it was disappoitin that the final decision was made based on a task that would have been more suitable for 2 seniority levels up from the role I was applying for.
All in all - disappointing.
