I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Mar 2016
Interview
Applied online. Received phone call from recruiter with prelim questions. Completed online assessment. Went for interview. Spent one hour on campus with recruiter. She presented 12 cards and you had to put 4 cards in each column with the first best describing you, second row pretty much you and 3rd column what you'd like to work on. Left feeling very positive and was asked to come back 2 days later to meet lead of dept. to see if I was a good fit with team.
He reviewed some of the same info covered on first interview but then asked very detailed questions about my experience. He didn't seemed to warm up to me till the end when I asked him about himself. Then he he seemed more comfortable. He told me I would hear from them with in 48 hours. After 72 hours I emailed my first recruiter asking if the job had been filled or was I still being considered? No response. Then 96 hours later I called and left VM with same question. I think it was very rude not to answer one way or another.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here? Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs? How much do you make now? Where ELSE have you applied? How was I previously evaluated? Had goals been set for me? Did I achieve them? Explain how I learned a computer program? Was there any tech help? Talk about a time when you dealt with an unhappy customer? How was it resolved? These are just a few that I remember.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
I had an amazing experience with them. When I applied, they called me about a week later, so don't get discouraged! When they called me, it was about a 10 minute interview and at the end she asked me to come in for an in person interview with her, which was the next day. The interview lasted about 45 minutes to an hour. She made me feel comfortable, we talked as if she was a friend of mine. At the end of the interview, there was a card game that she had me do, there was 12 cards, 3 columns and you'd separate them, your weaknesses, inbetween and your strengths, as I was doing that, she went out to the hiring manager and asked if she'd like to have an interview with me. She than came back and said that I got a 2ND interview and told me the dates she was available. Than we continued the game, she picked a card from each column and asked a question about each of them. When we were done, she gave me a tour of the area that I would possibly be working in.
The 2ND interview was the following week on Tuesday and it took about 20-30 minutes. She asked pretty much the same questions as the first interview. She as well made me feel super comfortable. At the end she told me I'd get a call within the next 48 hours if I got the job or they'd email me if they found a different candidate. About 30 minutes later, she called me and offered me the job.
I applied for a financial analyst position with Discover Financial Services. I received a phone call asking to set up an initial phone screen interview with HR. Talked with the recruiter for nearly an hour and was told I will be receiving a call back in regards to setting up another phone interview. Never heard back, sent a couple follow up emails. Still no response. Poor performance in terms of HR recruiting.
