Five rounds of interview. With the final one being a situational panel interview. Overall a positive experience. The hiring process take a while month and a half to complete and cane be tiresome.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview process was peculiar. I had a 15 minute phone screening for which the recruiter showed up 5 minutes late. I was asked to discuss my last role. I offered to discuss my most relevant experience due to the short time, but I was told to only discuss my most recent role. At the end of the interview I was told that I added too much context, which was strange feedback that I probably won't incorporate.
One technical screening: (5 mins intro + 40 minsSQL + 10 mins STATS/ ML + 5 mins questions)
VO: technical round (SQL+Python) + ML fundamentals (ML+STATS) + Data Science Design
