I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CIBC (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2013
Interview
Informal and genuine. It was a positive experience as I connected immediately with the assistant branch manager. I first applied online but didn't wait to be connected to my branch of choice (which I specified in the application). I immediately went to the branch I wanted to work at and introduced myself and I had the interview on the same day in -person. I don't think it's like this anymore anywhere and now you are only accepted online.

Question 1
These were very common sense and sensible questions. It was the kind of conversation where someone was genuinely trying to get to know you to gauge if you were able to commit to being part of the team and had the enthusiasm to want to continue working there.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Richmond Hill, ON) in Feb 2016
Interview
Two days after submitting my resume online, a HR rep scheduled a phone interview with me and asked simple questions about my background and customer service experience. The next day I received a call from the branch manager to schedule an in-person interview. My interview only took about 20 minutes and the interviewer focused heavily on my flexibility. Two weeks later, I received a call saying I got the job.
